ARTEX's "state-of-the-art" electronic waste recycling facility is designed to process "end-of-life"electronic products and is designed to optimize the recovery of recyclable components such as plastic, ferrous, non-ferrous and precious metals.
All materials are diverted from landfill and recycled to North America's highest environmental standards.
Process Leadership
Our facility consists of over 44,000 square feet of secure plant and warehouse space with off-loading bays to accommodate different types of transport vehicles.
The plant is designed to process over 3 tons of e-waste per hour in a highly automated and secure environment.
Process
ARTEX's process incorporates the following primary functions:
-
Material Pre-sort and Classification
-
Manual Disassembly and Separation
-
Mechanical Size Reduction and Separation
All incoming electronics waste is shredded and run through a series of sophisticated separation and vibration screening techniques producing discrete material streams. The recycling facility is designed to optimize the safe and secure recovery of recyclable components such as plastic, ferrous, non-ferrous and precious metals.
Any obvious and discrete hazardous materials (such as batteries and toner) are separated from feedstock prior to shredding.
Sophisticated dust collection systems collect fines and particulates for recycling.
All e-waste is diverted from landfill and recycled to the highest environmental standards and to "Maximum Available Control Technologies" compliance.
ARTEX is committed to providing customers with solutions that are both environmentally and socially responsible.
